In Monday's league battle, the visiting Manteo Redskins soccer squad scored a close 5-2 win over the Holmes Aces.

The Redskins (14-3) will now prepare for their battle against First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC). The Nighthawks go into the Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A battle with a 12-4 record. In their last battle, First Flight nipped Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC), 9-0, in a league battle.

The Aces (11-7) will now prepare for their battle against Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC). The Eagles go into the Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A battle with a 8-10 record. In their last battle, Northeastern nipped Cape Hatteras (Buxton, NC), 7-0, in a non-league battle.
