Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs face the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a Jefferson challenge, on Thursday, May 5. Monticello will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record.

The Lions now have a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they host Orange County for a Jefferson challenge on Thursday, May 5. Louisa County will face a Fighting Hornets team coming off a 9-1 league loss to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 6-4.
