Newcomerstown Trojans (Newcomerstown, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Buckeye Trail Warriors (Lore City, OH), 13-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tuscarawas Central Catholic for a Inter-Valley challenge on Thursday, May 5.

With the loss, Buckeye Trail falls to 5-10 on the campaign. The Warriors host Strasburg-Franklin (Strasburg, OH) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 12-3. Strasburg-Franklin won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Conotton Valley (Bowerston, OH)
