Palmyra Cougars (Palmyra, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Carlisle Thundering Herd (Carlisle, PA), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Susquehanna Township for a Mid-Penn - Keystone challenge on Wednesday, May 4.

With the loss, Carlisle falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Thundering herd travel to Red Lion (Red Lion, PA) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 3-8. Red Lion lost 14-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Central York (York, PA)
