The Shawnee Renegades (Medford, NJ) softball nipped the visiting Cherokee Chiefs (Marlton, NJ), 6-5 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Renegades (7-8) will now prepare for their bout against Seneca (Tabernacle, NJ). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 6-4 record. In their last bout, Seneca was edged by Paul VI (Haddonfield, NJ), 13-3, in a league bout.

The Chiefs now possess a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Williamstown for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 3. Cherokee will confront a Braves squad coming off a 9-8 league win over Cumberland (Seabrook, NJ). The Braves record now stands at 5-12.
