The Payson Lions softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Cottonwood Colts to 0 in the Lions league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Payson improves its record to 13-13 on the year. The Lions host Uintah (Vernal, UT) to clash with the Utes in a 5A Region 7 game on Thursday, May 5. The Utes come into the game with a record of 17-7. Uintah lost 8-7 in their recent league game against Tooele (Tooele, UT)

In their next game, the Colts clash with the Skyline Eagles (Salt Lake City, UT) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 4. Cottonwood will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 14-10 record after their 15-0 league loss to Murray (Murray, UT).
