The Elkhart Wildcats (Elkhart, KS) softball routed the host Stanton County Trojans (Johnson, KS), 19-2 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Wildcats (2-11) will now prepare for their bout against Stanton County (Johnson, KS). The Trojans go into the Hi-Plains bout with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Stanton County was routed by Sublette (Sublette, KS), 33-15, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Stanton County falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Trojans host Elkhart (Elkhart, KS) to battle the Wildcats in a Hi-Plains challenge on Monday, May 2. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-11. Elkhart lost 16-6 in their recent league challenge against Southwestern Heights (Kismet, KS)
