Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hidden Valley Titans (Roanoke, VA), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lord Botetourt for a Blue Ridge challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Northside will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 11-2.

With the loss, Hidden Valley falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Pulaski County (Dublin, VA) to face the Cougars in a River Ridge challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 8-7.
