Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Newark Catholic Green Wave (Newark, OH), 6-4 in a league challenge.
The Johnnies now sport a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Granville for a Licking County challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Johnstown-Monroe will face a Blue Aces squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Bishop Hartley (Columbus, OH). The Blue Aces record now stands at 9-5.
With the loss, Newark Catholic falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Green wave travel to Licking Valley (Newark, OH) to face the Panthers in a Licking County challenge on Wednesday, May 4. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 9-5. Licking Valley won 20-2 in their recent league challenge against Zanesville (Zanesville, OH)
