North Carolina High School Softball - Mallard Creek bounces West Charlotte

The Mallard Creek Mavericks routed the visiting West Charlotte Lions softball squad by a final score of 22-0 in Monday's non-league battle.

The Mavericks (11-5) will now prepare for their battle against Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Titans go into the non-league battle with a 8-9 record. In their last battle, Hopewell was routed by Hough (Cornelius, NC), 17-0, in a league battle.

The Lions now possess a 4-12 record. They play next when they travel to Hough for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 3. West Charlotte will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 17-4.
