Oak Lawn Spartans (Oak Lawn, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Richards Bulldogs (Oak Lawn, IL), 15-13 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 9-9 record. They take the field next when they host Lemont for a South Suburban challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Oak Lawn will battle a Lemont HS squad coming off a 16-3 league win over Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL). The Lemont HS record now stands at 17-4.

With the loss, Richards falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Evergreen Park (Evergreen Park, IL) to battle the Mustangs in a South Suburban challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 16-2. Evergreen Park won 8-0 in their recent league challenge against Argo (Summit, IL)
