North Carolina High School Baseball - Polk County sneaks past Brevard

Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) and the visiting Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC), saw Polk County's baseball squad edge Brevard by a count of 3-2.

Coming up next, the Wolverines play the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, May 3. Polk County will attempt to move on its 8-13 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 13-8 record after their 13-0 league win over Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC).

The Blue Devils now possess a 6-16 record. They take the field next when they host Polk County for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A battle on Thursday, May 4. Brevard will play a Wolverines squad coming off a 17-6 non-league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 8-14.
