South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Hunt Warriors (Wilson, NC), 5-3 in a league test.

With the win, South Johnston upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Trojans host East Wake (Wendell, NC) to battle the Warriors in a Quad County 3A test on Friday, May 5. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 8-13. East Wake lost 13-2 in their recent league test against Fike (Wilson, NC)

With the defeat, Hunt falls to 14-6 on the season. The Warriors travel to West Johnston (Benson, NC) to battle the Wildcats in a Quad County 3A test on Friday, May 5. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 13-8. West Johnston won 12-2 in their recent league test against C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC)
