In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Amherst County Lancers soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Glass Hilltoppers.
The Lancers (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Rustburg (Rustburg, VA). The Red Devils come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record.
The Hilltoppers (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Cavaliers come into the non-league battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Jefferson Forest nudged Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
