John Paul II Catholic Saints (Greenville, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots (Kinston, NC), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Saints face the Cary Christian Knights (Cary, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 5. John Paul II Catholic will attempt to better on its 13-3 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 5-1 league loss to Trinity Academy (Raleigh, NC).

With the loss, Arendell Parrott Academy drops to 9-9 on the season. The Patriots host Epiphany (New Bern, NC) to meet the Falcons in a NCISAA Coastal Plain test on Thursday, May 4. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 5-10. Epiphany lost 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Wilmington Christian Academy (Wilmington, NC)
