The Clayton Clippers softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Our Lady of Mercy Academy Villagers to 0 in the Clippers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Clayton improves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Clippers travel to Glassboro (Glassboro, NJ) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Friday, May 5. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 1-4.

In their next game, the Villagers clash with the Buena Chiefs (Buena, NJ) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 8. Our Lady of Mercy Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Chiefs come into the game with a 5-2 record after their 9-0 non-league win over Wildwood Catholic (North Wildwood, NJ).
