Gates Chili Spartans (Rochester, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Spencerport Rangers (Spencerport, NY), 15-10 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canandaigua Academy for a Class A challenge on Friday, May 5. Gates Chili will battle a Braves squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Eastridge (Rochester, NY). The Braves record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Spencerport falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Honeoye Falls-Lima (Honeoye Falls, NY) to battle the Cougars in a Class A challenge on Thursday, May 4. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. Honeoye Falls-Lima won 15-2 in their recent league challenge against Eastridge (Rochester, NY)
