The Granby Memorial Bears routed the visiting Gilbert Yellowjackets softball squad by a count of 17-0 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Bears (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Ellington (Ellington, CT). The Knights go into the North Central Connecticut battle with a 8-1 record.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Housatonic-Wamogo for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 3. Gilbert will meet a Mountaineers squad coming off a 12-10 non-league loss to Dover (Dover Plains, NY). The Mountaineers record now stands at 1-3.
