Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) and the visiting Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA), witnessed Herndon's softball squad tip Washington-Liberty by a count of 9-5.

The Hornets now sport a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Langley for a Liberty match on Thursday, May 4. Herndon will meet a Saxons squad coming off a 11-7 league win over Wakefield (Arlington, VA). The Saxons record now stands at 11-10.

With the loss, Washington-Liberty moves to 7-9 on the season. The Generals travel to Wakefield (The Plains, VA) to meet the Fighting Owls in a non-league match on Wednesday, May 3. The Fighting Owls go into the match with a record of 6-4. Wakefield lost 11-7 in their recent non-league match against Langley (McLean, VA)
