The New Hartford Spartans softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Rome Free Academy Black Knights to 0 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, New Hartford moves its record to 8-3 on the year. The Spartans travel to St. Anthony's (Melville, NY) to clash with the Friars in a non-league game on Saturday, May 6. The Friars come into the game with a record of 9-2.

In their next game, the Black Knights clash with the West Genesee Wildcats (Camillus, NY) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 5. Rome Free Academy will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 6-5 record after their 8-5 league win over Auburn (Auburn, NY).
