Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the San Ysidro Cougars (San Diego, CA) and the visiting Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA), witnessed San Ysidro's softball squad tip Sweetwater by a count of 9-5.

The Cougars now sport a 5-13 record. They play next when they host Olympian for a Metro South Bay match on Thursday, May 4. San Ysidro will face a Eagles squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Southwest EC (El Centro, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 11-11.

With the loss, Sweetwater moves to 2-15 on the season. The Red devils host Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA) to face the Mariners in a Metro South Bay match on Thursday, May 4. The Mariners go into the match with a record of 12-7. Mar Vista won 2-0 in their recent league match against Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA)
