Sunnyside Christian Knights (Sunnyside, WA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Wahluke Warriors (Mattawa, WA), 12-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Knights now sport a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rosalia for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 4. Sunnyside Christian will face a Spartans squad coming off a 31-3 non-league win over Pomeroy (Pomeroy, WA). The Spartans record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Wahluke falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Warriors host La Salle (Union Gap, WA) to face the Lightning in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. The Lightning enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
