In Thursday's league challenge, the Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) baseball squad triumphed over the host Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA), by a count of 16-3.

The Knights now possess a 12-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Appomattox County for a non-league bout on Monday, May 6. Buckingham will face a Raiders team coming off a 5-0 league win over Gretna (Gretna, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 8-7.

Next, the Cougars face the Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) in a James River bout, on Tuesday, May 7. Nottoway will attempt to move on its 3-12 season record. The Chargers enter the bout with a 7-5 record after their 8-7 league loss to Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA).
