Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA) and the visiting Juniata Indians (Mifflintown, PA), saw Newport's baseball squad edge Juniata by a margin of 3-2.

Coming up next, the Buffaloes play the Halifax Wildcats (Halifax, PA) in a Tri-Valley battle, on Monday, May 6. Newport will attempt to better on its 12-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 16-2 record after their 10-0 league win over Susquenita (Duncannon, PA).
