South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 4-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Sauras confront the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a Northwest 1A challenge, on Monday, May 6. South Stokes will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 9-0 league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC).

The Trojans now have a 1-12 record.
