Athens Drive Jaguars (Raleigh, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Jaguars confront the Enloe Eagles (Raleigh, NC) in a Cap Six 4A challenge, on Monday, May 6. Athens Drive will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 6-0 league loss to Cardinal Gibbons (Raleigh, NC).
The Spartans now have a 5-13 record. They take the field next when they host Broughton for a Cap Six 4A challenge on Monday, May 6. Sanderson will meet a Capitals squad coming off a 2-2 league Leesville Road (Raleigh, NC). The Capitals record now stands at 2-12.
