Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI), 2-1 in a non-league test.
The Crusaders now have a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Cranston West for a non-league test on Saturday, May 4.
In their next game, the Islanders face the Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, May 7. Middletown will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record.
