Mekeel Christian Academy Lions (Schenectady, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mayfield Panthers (Mayfield, NY), 18-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fonda-Fultonville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4.

With the loss, Mayfield falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Northville (Northville, NY) to battle the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 2-2.
