Oxford Pirates (Oxford, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bartlett Indians (Webster, MA), 12-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Douglas for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. Oxford will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Blackstone-Millville (Blackstone, MA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Bartlett falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Indians host Grafton (Grafton, MA) to face the Gators in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 1-10. Grafton lost 25-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Shepherd Hill Regional (Dudley, MA)
