Sullivan County Griffins (Laporte, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Benton Tigers (Benton, PA), 16-3 in a league challenge.

The Griffins now sport a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Northwest Area for a Mid-Penn D4 challenge on Tuesday, May 7.

With the loss, Benton falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Millville (Millville, PA) to face the Quakers in a Mid-Penn D4 challenge on Friday, May 3. The Quakers enter the challenge with a record of 2-9. Millville won 29-17 in their recent league challenge against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech (Bloomsburg, PA)
