Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers (Bradley, IL), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 22-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lemont for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4. Lincoln-Way Central will battle a Lemont HS squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL). The Lemont HS record now stands at 15-6.

With the loss, Bradley-Bourbonnais falls to 17-8 on the campaign. The Boilermakers travel to Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL) to battle the Fightin' Irish in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. The Fightin' Irish enter the challenge with a record of 13-8. Bishop McNamara won 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Herscher (Herscher, IL)
