Brewster Bears (Brewster, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Yorktown Huskers (Yorktown Heights, NY), 7-6 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Mahopac for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. Brewster will battle a Indians squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Scarsdale (Scarsdale, NY). The Indians record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Yorktown falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Huskers host Somers (Lincolndale, NY) to battle the Tuskers in a Section 1 II - C challenge on Saturday, May 4. The Tuskers enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Somers won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against John Jay (Cross River, NY)
