The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Waterford Wolverines (Waterford, WI) and the host Burlington Demons (Burlington, WI), saw Waterford's softball squad nip Burlington by a count of 7-5.

The Wolverines now sport a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Badger for a Southern Lakes match on Tuesday, May 7. Waterford will face a Badgers squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Westosha Central (Salem, WI). The Badgers record now stands at 3-9.

With the loss, Burlington falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Demons travel to Homestead (Mequon, WI) to face the Highlanders in a non-league match on Saturday, May 4. The Highlanders enter the match with a record of 5-9. Homestead lost 8-3 in their recent non-league match against Hartford (Hartford, WI)
