The Mescalero Apache Chiefs softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Capitan Tigers to 6 in the Chiefs league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Mescalero Apache moves its record to 6-11 on the year.
In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM) in a A/2A District 3 game, on Tuesday, May 7. Capitan will attempt to move on its 3-13 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 17-4 record after their 12-1 league win over Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM).
