The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Chanute Blue Comets (Chanute, KS) and the visiting Field Kindley Golden Tornado (Coffeyville, KS), saw Chanute's softball squad achieve victory over Field Kindley by a count of 11-1.

The Blue Comets now sport a 11-8 record. They take the field next when they host Louisburg for a non-league match on Saturday, May 4. Chanute will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Lansing (Lansing, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-10.

With the loss, Field Kindley falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Golden tornado travel to Iola (Iola, KS) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Friday, May 3. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 13-8. Iola won 18-8 in their recent non-league match against Wellsville (Wellsville, KS)
