Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars (Cicero, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Genesee Wildcats (Camillus, NY), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Northstars now sport a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tappan Zee for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4. Cicero-North Syracuse will face a Dutchmen squad coming off a 14-6 league win over Nyack (Upper Nyack, NY). The Dutchmen record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, West Genesee falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Fulton (Fulton, NY) to face the Red Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 2-8. Fulton lost 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Oswego (Oswego, NY)
