Dumont Huskies (Dumont, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Westwood Cardinals (Washington Township, NJ), 13-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they host Ridgefield Park for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3.

With the loss, Westwood falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Indian Hills (Oakland, NJ) to battle the Braves in a Big North - Patriot challenge on Friday, May 3. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 11-7. Indian Hills lost 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Ramapo (Franklin Lakes, NJ)
