Jenison Wildcats (Jenison, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host East Kentwood Falcons (Kentwood, MI), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Caledonia for a Ottawa-Kent - Red challenge on Friday, May 3. Jenison will battle a Fighting Scots squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Hudsonville (Hudsonville, MI). The Fighting Scots record now stands at 11-8.

With the loss, East Kentwood falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Falcons host Grandville (Grandville, MI) to battle the Bulldogs in a Ottawa-Kent - Red challenge on Friday, May 3. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 6-9. Grandville won 16-1 in their recent league challenge against West Ottawa (Holland, MI)
