The Hillsboro-Deering Hillcats nipped the visiting Fall Mountain Wildcats softball squad by a final score of 5-4 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Hillcats (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Raymond (Raymond, NH). The Rams go into the Division III battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Raymond held off Conant (Jaffrey, NH), 9-7, in a league battle.
The Wildcats now possess a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Bishop Brady for a Division III battle on Friday, May 3. Fall Mountain will confront a Giants squad coming off a 5-2 league loss to Hopkinton (Contoocook, NH). The Giants record now stands at 5-1.
