The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Osbourn Eagles (Manassas, VA) and the host Gainesville Cardinals (Gainesville, VA), saw Osbourn's softball squad nip Gainesville by a count of 2-0.

The Eagles now sport a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Osbourn Park for a Cedar Run match on Friday, May 3. Osbourn will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Woodgrove (Purcellville, VA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Gainesville falls to 1-8 on the campaign.
