Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Grayslake North Knights (Grayslake, IL), 4-1 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 8-14 record. They take the field next when they host Wauconda for a Northern Lake County challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Grant Community will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Lakes (Lake Villa, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-8.

With the loss, Grayslake North falls to 3-17 on the campaign. The Knights host Antioch (Antioch, IL) to battle the Sequoits in a Northern Lake County challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Sequoits enter the challenge with a record of 19-3.
