The Monte Vista Monarchs softball team (Spring Valley, CA), was routed 17-0 in Thursday's league battle with the host Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA)

Coming up next, the Foothillers encounter the Santana Sultans (Santee, CA) in a non-league test, on Friday, May 3. Grossmont will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Sultans come into the test with a 9-14 record after their 6-5 league loss to Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA).

The Monarchs (3-16) will now prepare for their test against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA). The Matadors come into the Grossmont Valley test with a 6-13 record. In their last test, Mount Miguel was routed by West Hills (Santee, CA), 15-0, in a league test.
