Munster Mustangs (Munster, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hanover Central Wildcats (Cedar Lake, IN), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 16-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hobart for a Northwest Crossroads challenge on Monday, May 6. Munster will face a Brickies squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Cascade (Clayton, IN). The Brickies record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, Hanover Central falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Lake Central (St. John, IN) to face the Indians in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 24-0. Lake Central won 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Portage (Portage, IN)
