In Thursday's league contest, the Watchung Hills Regional Warriors (Warren, NJ) softball team held off the host Hillsborough Raiders (Hillsborough, NJ), by a margin of 6-5.

With the triumph, Watchung Hills Regional moves its record to 16-2 on the year. The Warriors travel to North Hunterdon (Annandale, NJ) to play the Lions in a Skyland - Delaware contest on Friday, May 3. The Lions come into the contest with a record of 11-7. North Hunterdon lost 10-2 in their recent non-league contest against Governor Livingston (Berkeley Heights, NJ)

In their next game, the Raiders play the Ridge Red Devil (Basking Ridge, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Monday, May 6. Hillsborough will attempt to move on its 3-13 season record. The Red Devil come into the contest with a 5-10 record after their 4-1 league loss to Bernards (Bernardsville, NJ).
