King William Cavaliers (King William, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Middlesex Chargers (Saluda, VA), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Cavaliers now own a 14-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Kent for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. King William will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 15-1 league win over Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 13-2.

With the loss, Middlesex falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Chargers host Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 9-6. Rappahannock won 14-3 in their recent league challenge against Lancaster (Lancaster, VA)
