Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Walled Lake Western Warriors (Walled Lake, MI), 14-4 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they host Walled Lake Central for a Lakes Valley challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Lakeland will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 23-17 league win over Kettering (Waterford, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Walled Lake Western falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to South Lyon (South Lyon, MI) to battle the Lions in a Lakes Valley challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 7-1.
