The Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) softball the visiting Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL), 3-1 in Thursday's league bout.

The Fighting Irish (23-1) will now prepare for their bout against Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL). The Comets go into the non-league bout with a 12-11 record. In their last bout, Reed-Custer by Morris (Morris, IL), 6-1, in a non-league bout.

The Crusaders now possess a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Midland for a Tri-County bout on Monday, May 6.
