River Ridge Hawks (Lacey, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Peninsula Seahawks (Gig Harbor, WA), 13-3 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Capital for a 3A South Sound challenge on Monday, May 6. River Ridge will face a Cougars squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to Gig Harbor (Gig Harbor, WA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-9.

With the loss, Peninsula falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Seahawks host Timberline (Lacey, WA) to face the Blazers in a 3A South Sound challenge on Monday, May 6. The Blazers enter the challenge with a record of 12-1. Timberline won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Central Kitsap (Silverdale, WA)
