Randolph Cardinals (Randolph, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pine Valley Central Panthers (South Dayton, NY), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host Silver Creek for a Chautaqua / Cattaragus I East challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Randolph will battle a Black Knights squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Pine Valley Central (South Dayton, NY). The Black Knights record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Pine Valley Central falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Silver Creek (Silver Creek, NY) to battle the Black Knights in a Chautaqua / Cattaragus I East challenge on Friday, May 3. The Black Knights enter the challenge with a record of 9-2. Silver Creek won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Forestville Central (Forestville, NY)
