South Haven Cardinals (South Haven, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Elk Patriots (Howard, KS), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, West Elk falls to 5-10 on the campaign. The Patriots host Central (Burden, KS) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league game on Friday, May 3. The Raiders come into the game with a record of 0-15. Central lost 13-3 in their recent non-league game against West Elk (Howard, KS)
